Because they price gouge them just like their overpriced phones. Why get an overpriced Google tablet when Lenovo has them for nearly half the price. Motorola has good phones for less.

If it's just the screen, it didn't used to be more than a few tens of dollars. But it could be a supply issue now. And for a lot of people, Apple isn't a viable alternative.

The entire industry appears to have a aversion to putting in a FHD screen in a sub-10in tablet now.

Bexel drawback? Thank goodness for the big bezels-otherwise you'd have the selfie stick out through the screen like a sore punch hole. For a large device, one needs bezels to grip it better. Looks do not necessarily lend to usability and function. In fact, most of the the time, they don't. With a focus on looks-now that IS the drawback.

And so continues the wait for a new tablet in the 8 to 9 inch class with a Full HD screen and decent midrange specs.

Looks like Lenovo and Samsung have conceded this market segment to Amazon and Onn/Walmart.

I almost stopped reading at "resolution of 1280 x 800".

Disappointing on a 9.7 inch device using a decent CPU.

They ought to run the renamed app (trick) on other OEM devices as well-you never know-some may hide the adaptation very well. Example I always see these high scores from Apple but personally do not find their devices that fast. Just saying.

It seems to be a rebranded Lenovo Tab P11 Plus.

I'm still wondering why Lenovo has not yet released the Tab M8 (3rd gen) under their own brand, while they have released the identical rebranded Moto Tab G20, in India at least.

Meanwhile, Lenovo's available 8-inch tablet lineup is still running Android 9 and sporting Mini-USB connectors.

It's been 6 months since the Tab M8 3rd Gen has been announced and it's still not available.
